We’re thrilled to announce some exciting updates to our HighScores platform. These new features are a direct result of feedback from dedicated users like you, aimed at enhancing the overall platform experience. Let’s dive into what’s new!
Indicator for Extended Time
We understand the importance of accommodating students who need extended time. That’s why we’ve added an indicator for extended time on both the assessment and classroom result pages. This feature allows teachers and directors to easily identify students who have utilized time accommodations, ensuring they receive the support they need.
Student Result Page in Classroom
Students can now access a dedicated result page within their classroom. This page displays the results of all assessments they’ve attempted, providing a comprehensive overview of their performance. It’s a great tool for students to track their progress and identify areas for improvement.
Control Signup/Login with Google
Directors can now manage the signup/login process with Google from the institute preference settings. By turning this option on or off, directors can control whether the “Continue with Google” option appears, giving them greater control over how students sign in.
Restricted Copying of Questions
To maintain academic integrity, we’ve implemented a feature that prevents students from copying questions on the platform. This measure helps ensure that students are engaging with the material independently, without seeking external help.
URL for Class Quiz
If the class quiz feature is enabled from institute preferences, a URL option is now available in the classroom. This URL can be shared with students, allowing their quiz attempts to be visible on the assessment leaderboard. It’s a great way to encourage healthy competition and track student performance.
Answer Type Restriction for Fill in the Blanks (FIB) Questions
We’ve added a new option for Fill in the Blanks (FIB) questions, allowing users to select the type of answers permitted:
Numbers: Only numeric digits are allowed.
Numbers with Symbols: A free text box that accepts numbers, alphabets, and symbols.
Text: Only alphabets are allowed.
This feature provides more flexibility in creating assessments tailored to specific needs.
Reviewer Option in Assessment Preferences
Directors can now add or remove teachers as reviewers from the assessment preference settings. This feature helps manage who can review and edit assessments within the platform, ensuring that only authorized personnel have access to modify assessments.
Chat Control Setting
A new preference setting allows directors to turn on or off the chat feature for the institute. This will hide the message/chat option for all users in the institute, providing directors with control over the communication tools available to their students.
Password Restriction for Students
We’ve introduced password restriction options for students in user management:
Optional: Students can change their password anytime.
Must Change: Students will be required to change their password upon their next login.
Not Allowed: Students will never be able to change their password.
This feature ensures that directors can manage password policies according to their institute’s requirements.
